Educators Leading the Way to Progress

Educ18 Foundation for School Leadership Excellence is happy to invite you to the Leadership Strategies for School Managers (LESSM) conference on December 5 and 6 at the Ateneo Institute of Social Order in Quezon City. With the theme School Managers Surviving the Global Crisis, the 2-day conference aims to help school owners and principals run excellent schools even within a tight budget.

Learn from the highly respected speakers that we have invited:

Dean Roberto Borromeo, an expert on school leadership and management of De La Salle University System

Mrs. Lilia Vengco, former principal of La Salle Greenhills and La Salle Canlubang, and now basic education consultant of De La Salle University System and a PAASCU Chair

Dr. Cornelia Soto of Ateneo de Manila, who gives seminars all over the Philippines, former Assistant Headmaster of the Ateneo handling around 600 teachers, now a professor of education at the Ateneo Graduate School, and is also a PAASCU Chair

Prof. Liza Carascal, well-loved former principal of the UP Rural High School in Los Banos, administrator of the U.P. Open University, and a consultant of the chancellor of UP Los Banos

Atty. Bruce Rivera of San Beda College of Law to discuss important issues in school legal management and their financial implications

Educ18 is an organization of education and business leaders who desire to promote the welfare of school administrators.

In the coming few years, we hope to...

(1) sponsor other school leadership training programs in HR recruitment and training, fund sourcing, allocation and management, leadership, legal management, marketing, strategic planning, and other important aspects of school management

(2) publish articles and eventually a book that would feature the best practices of school principals

(3) ask congress to improve their support to schools and principals

(4) inspire outstanding students and teachers to become school leaders by communicating with them the roles and importance of
school leaders and giving awards to school principals
who improve their schools' best; and

(5) gain the support of the media for our lobbying efforts.

We believe that empowered school managers can make
a great impact on the country's educational system.

No good teacher, no good engineer, doctor, manager,
teacher or voter. No good principal, no good teacher.

I look forward to seeing you soon!
